Caliente Bullet trains

Who says California doesn’t have high speed rail? I caught these in Caliente yesterday.
This is my first stab at posting a video so please have patience.

Had to think twice about where you were when you shot this.  Nice job, thanks for posting.

Heck only about 10 times the max speed for those curves but, fun to watch.

I was going by the timetable that I have. Approaching the curve on 2 main tracks it is 30 then becomes 23 when it becomes single main. It might be posted locally otherwise but 23 mph pretty much rules the hill up to the Cable crossover.

Per Los Angeles Area Timetable #4, June 14, 2010 it's 23 MPH between MP 335.4 (Caliente) and MP 359.5 (Tehachapi) Southbound and MP 336.0 and MP 359.5 Northbound.
There's a section of 15 MPH between MP 335.4 and MP 336.0 Northbound.

This time table is a couple years older so 15 mph is probably correct.....
