CSXT Leading on ex-CNW
Author: aohunt

This afternoon saw UP westbound empty alcohol train UEPLEY 13 crossing the Cedar River Bridge in Cedar Rapids, IA.  Leading was CSXT 3003, with an NS and UP trailing.  BNSF trains are detouring over UP between Clinton and Council Bluffs and Automatic Train Control rules are apparently suspended.  This train had Positive Block instructions issued to it from Clinton to Boone.  But for whatever reason, getting anything other than ATC-equipped leaders on the ex-CNW main has been almost non-existant for many years.

It sure adds some variety as opposed to the same old stuff. Let’s enjoy it while it last. Good stuff there Al!
