UP coal trains passed at Soldier Summit, Utah, 13 May 2019.  Savage Loadout coal load C C4PF9-13 was westbound descending the grade towards Gilluly Loops.  UP 8683, SD70ACe, eastbound Intermountain Power empty unit coal train was headed towards Helper, UT.  NO sound

Neat looking hoppers. Never seen that buld before.

Is the UP symbology for that train similar to the BNSF unit trains in that 'C C4PF9-13' indicates the 13th running of this symbol this year?

Utah Ry got a train set of these cars about 2009.  They are RDL hoppers.  The two door run lengthwise as opposed to the usual crosswise.  I posted some shots of some cars on the north fork sub back about 2010.  Under a different handle.  I'll see if I can find the link and post it.

I thought I had read that IPPX had gone to PRB coal.  Surprised to see them on Soldier Summit!  Was over there yesterday and all we saw was a ten car UP local!
