4014 and 844's layover in Ogden last week allowed some time to take a break from the crowds and search out equipment that I'd never photographed.  The weather cooperated, and so I was happy with the few new (to me) subjects that I was able to shoot.

1.  Utah Central/Patriot Rail GP15-1s 1401 (ex-CR) and 1496 (ex-Frisco) were tied down along South 1900 West on the morning of May 9.

2.  Afternoon shot, in the same location as above.  On subsequent days, this set was under an awning alongside a building with obstructions in the way.

3.  A northbound UTA Frontrunner commuter train passes Ogden Union Station as seen from the 24th St. bridge.

4.  A southbound Frontrunner train is in push mode as it crosses over the UP yard on this flyover, just south of Ogden Union Station.
 
5.  A northbound Frontrunner near Clearfield with the Wasatch Range providing a nice backdrop.
 
6.  Scoular (Grain) Co. SCOX 5003 was built for the ACL.

7.  Ubiquitous G&W power at North Salt Lake waiting for its crew.
 
8.  This was just a small portion of the crowd at Promontory on May 10.  I heard or read an estimate of 20,000 people for just that day alone.
 
9.  Jupiter picks up speed as it rolls east to meet 119 at the Golden Spike National Historical Park.

We'd be out at Interstate Brick watching the switch job pull boxcars of brick, might need a flashlight these days.
