So much for hoping that all the Dash-8s would arrive in some form of Cimarron Valley paint.

For 2 months in the summer of 1978 I worked the (Santa Fe) switchman's extra board at Dodge City. I was pulled off that board 3 times in "emergency" to fill brakeman vacancies down those branches. Twice to Boise City & back, once to Springfield. CO & back. Those jobs ALWAYS worked at might, and always had smaller, 4-axle power. Santa Fe GP20s, GP38s & GP39-2s were regular power assignments in those days. And maybe 5 years prior F-units and 'ugly duckling' GP7s absolutely ruled the day. So... to see this great coverage of ex-CSX big 6-axle power on my old 4-axle branch is so foreign to my memory I can't even describe it... ;^)

I had heard the 3004 was sold by CV RR a while back. Is that correct?
