Midwest Flooding

Any updates on current status of flooding at Ft Madison or Burlington, Iowa?   I believe that there have been several coal trains rerouted to Minneapolis and then south along the river to Savanna, Illinois.   Are the traditional BN and ATSF bridges open at Ft Madison and Burlington Iowa?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dave

The Missouri is falling at Waverly and Napoleon. UP's River Sub runs on the south side of the river there  The Grand (which flooded the NS at Brunswick) is also falling, but It will take more than a few days for the water to drain out of all the basins. If you go to your local NWS site, you can find a tab that will get you to Rivers and Lakes.  NWS has gages (or gauges if you prefer) at several locations.  The caveat is that any additional rainfall will impact the forecast so...

Edit:  The towns/cities to which I referrred are in Missouri.  Should have been mroe specific.

Is this area in the path of the storm coming up from Mexico? It looks like a huge rain maker.

Here is the forecast rainfall for the next seven days. The effects of the system from Mexico are readily apparent.
