BNSF Scenic Sub, Carkeek Park, Friday 3/15

Going back 3 months to another sunny day on the far west end of the Scenic Sub at Carkeek Park (about milepost 10.3).

1) 10:39 AM: On main 1, a southbound (timetable westbound) intermodal (either the S-LPCTAC or S-LPCSEA) comes out of the morning shadows.  Power was ES44C4 #6661, CP AC4400CW #9629, and CSX ES40DC #5500.

2) 10:40 AM: Heading into the S-curve.

3) 10:40 AM: Looking back to the north.

4) 10:40 AM: Another S-curve view.

5) 10:40 AM: Another view.

6) 10:41 AM: The end is about to head under the intermediate signals.

Next 3:

7) 11:59 AM: Next was the westbound U-EVEROO loaded garbage unit on main 2.  Power was C44-9W #4342 and ES44DC #7845.

8) 12:00 PM: Power about to pass under the pedestrian bridge.

9) 12:01 PM: Heading through the S-curve and towards the control point at Blue Ridge.

Last 3:

10) 12:22 PM: Last of the three from this day was the Gold Bar Turn local on main 1, with 2 Boeing parts cars.  Power was a pair of GP38-2's, #2081 and #2080.

11) 12:24 PM: About to pass under the bridge.

12) 12:24 PM: Heading through the S-curve.

Was it taken from the bridge? Thinking back there was one you could access from the park about 60years ago.

Yes, the pedestrian bridge is still there.
