Here's a few more shots of the UP 4014 from last Monday. These were all shot at Burns, WY where we patiently waited for the 4014 to appear....

Photo #1- We had a number of freights go by but most of them were westbound. I wasn't able to get any shots of them because of were we set for the 4014. Here an eastbound freight appears from behind the elevator in Burns, WY. 

Photo #2- There was a Massachusetts Bay  Transit engine returning from  an over haul in Boise at the rear of the consist. A close up of the transit motor. 

Photo #3- Eventually the 4014 appeared from behind the elevator...

Photo #4- The GP-9 was sitting at the elevator in Kimball as we moved through town. 

Photo #5- The storm we encountered as we headed south from Sidney. You can see the outflow blowing up dust from just to the right of the telephone pole to under the left side of the cloud.No hail but it sure looked ugly...

I agree!

With storm clouds like that I would be looking for an underground bunker. Very dramatic.
