Had a heads up about the MoPac Heritage locomotive passing through Dunsmuir today. Decided to carpool with a neighbor and head into the Sacramento Canyon for a few photos. Beautiful blue skies with clouds around the edges, a Kodachrome kinda day as we used to say.

#1 rounding the curve at Gibson with the Sacramento River and last years burn in the background.

#2 Rolling into downtown Lakehead at the North Switch.

#3 less lens and some clouds at Lakehead.
