Wagon Mound Semaphore 7/5/19
Author: dtoeppen

Just got a hard drive back from the lab and I have a lot of footage to wade through...
Here's a shot of #3 passing Wagon Mound blades. (edit: fixed the train #)

Arri 416, Vision 3 50D, Ultra 16 lens, processed by Fotokem and transferred by Spectra.

Ummm How about that being either #3 or #4. That's on the Raton pass line. Correct?

I guess I need more sleep. Thanks for pointing that out.

You're welcome. Hoping to get a few shots of those myself in October.

I hope they don't take them down this fall, as I've heard they will. I can't film any more until spring.

Just to be clear, while that is the "wagon mound" in the background, BNSF's Wagon Mound siding hasn't had semaphores at either end for many years.  The signals shown in the video are at the west end of Levy, the next siding to the north (railroad "east").

Looks like lots of track work going on with new ties on the ground. Hope it doesn't include signal upgrades with semaphore removal.

Who else fell asleep with the lullaby then asked nervously what the last signal was? All joking aside, I'm liking your filmed videos. I swear i seen some "pops", or maybe it was just my eyes.

That's train #3 in the video. Notice the far semaphore changes from red to yellow.

Actually, the North end of Wagon Mound still carries semaphores.

EAST end still there.  Close up of them in my Charger post.

And when I was at Levy about four weeks ago, it appeared
that they were in the process of erecting new signals.

I TOTALLY goofed. These are the west end of Levy siding signals. I had planned to shoot Wagon Mount intermediates, but didn't because the spectacle was bent on one.
