A Fist Bump and a Thumbs Up From the Crew
Author: BNSF-6432

About a month before the cease of operation, my brothers were able to take vacation to Arizona and capture BM&LP in their final days. Because neither one of the twins have a TO account, I agreed to share some of their captures from the line. These three pictures come from Zach who got several shots of the engineer still enjoying his job in the E60C.

1) The engineer on EA022 sends out a fist from the E60C while heading for loadout.

2) While passing them at the same crossing the hogger shoots a thumbs up.

3) While heading into the mine, all units have the pantograph raised with a BL&LP unit breaking up the NdeM consist.

Is there some email address at the railroad office to send all the great photos of the last days of operation to the crew members so they could print them out?

Kudos to the friendly crew. Not all employees are grouches haha. I know I always waved to railfans my whole career as a railroader.
But then I was part of the railfa community as well.

Salt River Project in Phoenix is the company who managed and operated the railroad and powerplant. They may also have run the coal mine for peabody.

Nice shots!  Do you know what the two pieces that are on the front that look like they are cleaning the rail?  Are they safety grounds?

Thanks in advance.
