A Cross Country Meet
Author: BNSF-6432

Here's a couple shots my brother got while on vacation in Arizona during summer break. Because he doesn't have an account on here I told him I'd share what he wants. Aside from chasing BM&LP, they spent quite a bit of time on the transcon. This was one of the main highlights when they had an eastbound and westbound intermodal cross paths near Kingman. Two sets of four GE's hauling containers across the western half of the country in each direction met in an opening directly centered from them.

1) Two intermodals meet somewhere east of Kingman (I believe) in the middle of their long journeys on the transcon.

2) Alex McGee shoots away in the foreground of the dash9, ES44, dash9, SD70ACe set moving on.

Wonderful area to watch/photograph trains. Never have to wait long for trains in that area.

Nice shots!  The location is just timetable west of Kingman, a short distance south of town.

Even on a busy main line the timing here is great! I'd say the railfan gods were smiling on the brothers right about then... ;^)
