Glad he was there picking up lunch. He probably saved lives. Praying for him as taking a life, regardless how justified, can be very traumatic. Hats off to the reporter who explained the work of railroad special agents.

I tried to open this link and the ONLY thing I got was a frickin' sales pitch to subscribe to the damn paper. I'll not waste anymore time on this crap....

I too am glad the officer took action. Especially since the nearby scholl was about to early dismiss.
Imagine if those children happend by while all this was going on and what could have occured.
Thanks to the Railroad police for the work they do.

Also, the reporter here seems (to me) to be among a rapidly shrinking minority...avoiding sensationalism and simply reporting...even asking questions!

Both of these were really nice to read about in a world that seems to be getting ever-crazier.

A motor vehicle can be a very dangerous weapon. Sounds like the railroad police officer did his best. No one can know how many injuries or even deaths he prevented.   

It will be interesting to see what the toxicology report on the driver reveals.

Why are 14- and 15-year-old children working the lunch crowd at a fast food restaurant? Aren't they supposed to be in school?

I thought the cutoff age was 16.

It sounds like the BNSF cop had no choice but to shoot the guy.

I have no problem with religious folks owning businesses.  I do have a problem with religious folks using their religion as a justification for bigotry and discrimination.

But In-N-Out doesn't let their personal beliefs run their business.  In-N-Out is open on Sundays and always has been.
