I think this sums up the weekend.
Author: DRGW5502

I saw the Cubs win it all.  Now I've seen this.  Not bad for a Cubs fan from Pomona.

Had a good time sharing the experience with family and chatting with people from all over.  I really like seeing all the photos everyone took, and if you're worried about sharing too much, don't be. There were a lot of good people who didn't get to go out and see it for health reasons.

Not sure how long it will be or if this ever happens again, but it was amazing and surreal all at the same time.

Nice one. Not a problem as long as it is below rail head and nothing dragging. Did it back in the seventies with a Super 8 movie camera with seventy mph 40X's running over the camera. As long as it was in the ballast instead on on tie.

I hear Whoo as every car runs over the camera. Is that the same guy from Fullerton who goes whoo all the time as trains pass ? I stopped watching Fullerton because of this jerk.  He should be quiet , falls coming and the squirels are gathering nuts

Not 40 years ago, but 6 years ago same result...and no "woooooo".

Didn't realize the special was that long.  Did they add cars somewhere, or is that how it ran all the way to LA?

They added cars in West Colton. The “Wooo” was from a family of young boys who pulled over to watch it on their way home from church (non railfans). There was probably over 200 people at, on or around Mormon Rocks.

Thanks Tim! I’ll be flipping over your passenger train to make sure it’s 100% now that I’ve given you no excuse.
