Date: 11/17/19 16:46 Re: Along US 30 in Nebraska Author: bakersfielddave the frequency was a bit quiet this day, about a train every 45 minutes
the day was very chilly and breezy the sun came out after lunch the afternoon storm cropped up later three private switch engines at various locations ..cozad ,gothenburg and lexington i seem to recall were these were former Southern Railway SD units from the late 1950s or early 1960s Date: 11/17/19 16:50 Re: Along US 30 in Nebraska Author: bakersfielddave Date: 11/17/19 16:52 Re: Along US 30 in Nebraska Author: bakersfielddave Date: 11/17/19 16:53 Re: Along US 30 in Nebraska Author: bakersfielddave Date: 11/17/19 16:55 Re: Along US 30 in Nebraska Author: bakersfielddave Date: 11/17/19 17:13 Re: Along US 30 in Nebraska Author: King_Coal Nice videos and photos. Date: 11/18/19 07:40 Re: Along US 30 in Nebraska Author: ntharalson Nice stuff, thanks for posting. To answer the question, two of the three you pictured were ex-Southern SD24's. The first one was
rebuilt by the ICG, the second one was rebuilt for the CNW, I'm not sure who did that. The ex-MRL engine I believe is an ex-SP SD9 MRL chopped at Livingston. I can be corrected on any of this.
