A rainbow consist made its way east out of LA and up Cajon Pass this morning, with BNSF 6996 in the lead followed by CN 2291, BNSF 8452, and CSXT 965.  Nice to see such a colorful consist for a change.  This train made better time than I expected, and I missed the shot at the Swarthout Canyon Rd. grade crossing, but did get the “Summit shot” a bit later.  In the afternoon, an abbreviated rainbow consist ran west on UP’s Alhambra Sub, with UP 8157 and FXE 4618 on a Dallas to Long Beach stack train.  (Thanks for the heads ups today, too!)
