Directional running between Houston and Beaumont

Several years ago I asked about the directional running on the UP between Houston and Beaumont, and was told that the former SP line was westbound and the former MP line was eastbound. So Amtrak 1 uses the ex SP and Amtrak 2 uses the ex MP.

I'm hoping someone on the western board familiar with Houston area operations can confirm this is still the case.

The directional running between Houston - Beamont continues unchanged.
