First, I will tell you, I have NO EXPERIENCE running real trains, how they operater, any of the rules of governing their movements, etc. I just CAN'T UNDERSTAND for the life of me how ONE MAN would be able to control that big an object. What if a knuckle or draw bar breaks on the last car....in the middle of "no where" Canada....in a snow storm...and the train is on a long single track bridge....on a moonless, cloudy night....? ×

Also, NORMALLY, less tons per operative brake, less slack plus less TOB equals less chance of broken knuckle. IF it does happen, the engineer kicks back while the conductor takes care of it. This particular territory, being pretty flat, would be a MUCH easier job for the engineer as opposed to say the BNSF Seligman Sub, with it's many undulations, IMHO. Each set of DPU's can be operated individually or in concert with whatever is going on with the lead power, I am guessing this particular run can be run with all power doing the same thing, which is also much easier than individually.
