The AP is reporting the ND PSC voted to approve expansion in capacity of the Dakota Access oil pipeline coming out of Canada. The pipeline crosses the Missouri River north of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation.

À similar situation exists in Canada where native members have occupied CN ROW tracks and shut down freight and passenger service across much of Canada.

What are the chances something will happen in the US across ND? We don't need to hear, "They should all be arrested for tresspassing."

During the litigation and protests over the Keystone XL pipeline, a number of demonstrator trespassers were arrested.

When an armed group seized a federal wildlife sanctuary, the feds waited them out. One insurgent died in a gunfight with federal agents.

I agree with fbe the oil Cos should be arrested  for tresspassing.

Sounds like with the Canadian government being totally weak and muddled (they cannot even keep the public order), no construction will happen in Canada or the U.S.  

Corporations spend money when they plan to get a return on investment.   End result, the goofy lucys in Canada will eventually  tire of the issue and go home.  And the railroads will continue to operate plenty of oil trains.  

Nothing in this world is permanent, including oil.

The Constitution pipeline construction in the US has been terminated. Too much NIMBY and endless EIS.

A half billion dollars of share holder money down the drain. And, likely energy constriction in NY, as demand rises, while gas supply flag lines.
