Let there be light...
Author: z-trains

On a unusually cloudy August morning in 2019, my son and I went up Cajon Pass to do some railfanning in the desert.  It never ceases to amaze me how the weather in the LA Basin can be completely opposite to what is in the High Desert.  Case in point, while the Pass was shrouded in incredible clouds, the area in and around Summit was largely clear.  It certainly made for a dramatic "reveal" as this eastbound z-train rounds the corner at Summit on its way to Barstow and points east.  Thanks for looking!

Cheers,

Paul
