BNSF D TOPEMP3 27M from yesterday
Author: bath_wildcat

As I replied to this thread-https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,4986541  here are the pics.  I let my wife drive the Challenger while I took the pics.

The symbol came from the conductor. Really nice guy as I had seen him checking out my ride. Turns out he owns a 2019 challenger only in the 69 blue color. Showed me a pic and it was really slick, anyways on to the pics. The conductor and I chatted for a bit more and thats when he told me he was there to take the power to Emporia.  As soon as they hung the EOT, thats when I had the wife drive and I used my grade crossing app on my cell to locate the crossing where I could shoot from.  I did see the conductor again, thats when I asked the symbol to be accurate.  He was very friendly and chatted a bit more then climbed up into 5061 and away they went.

Pics from NE Washington St right next to the track, so no trespassing was involved

BNSF 5061 and 3876 were the working power.

Last three. I actually just stumbled on this at Topeka Amtrak and photoed away.  I knew there were a few historical locomotives so I wanted to photo them before something happend.

This was a but of a fun chase as the wife found out.

Lots of old power moving about. Had a D move at West Quincy last week, end of consist was a exATSF 6 axle slug in orange. No idea where it went , presume it’s was going to RELCO at Albia.
