Kinda.
But understand this is only about 300 or so feet from my living room. I didn’t suffer long!

Several months ago you had mentioned in one of your posts that your birthday was April 7th.  I jotted that down on my calendar and thought I'd surprise you with a birthday greeting.  Guess it worked.

Who is this?  I'm just an old retired railroader.  Started on the Santa Fe in 1962 and retired from the BNSF in 2005.  Got introduced to TO 4 or 5 years ago by Gary Rich (who had been my brakeman years ago in Kansas and just recently passed away) and by a UP counterpart of mine (mopacsouth) here in Texas.

I have really enjoyed TO because of all the talent I see in the pictures and all the knowledge that is shared with us.  I don't comment a lot.......why.........I'm just too busy.  I don't even get all of the posts looked at let alone posting a attaboy   But I do want you all to know I think you guys (and gals) are the greatest.

Well Mark, surprise me you did.
And I’m certainly pleased to hear you’re 15yrs retired and (too?) busy. It’s heartbreaking when one of our brothers pulls the pin only to wither away to nothing.
I stepped off my last train 4yrs ago and I’ve never been busier- I’m all for a 25hr day, or longer, just to get it all done!
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my work.
Thank you
