Probably the weekend.  No work windows or locals to deal with.

Another Front Range Sub question:  Why is BNSF operating 200+ car empty coal trains north on this sub from Denver and why do they sit just south of Boulder for an hour or more when they operate?

Thanks in advance to anyone who has insight to this operation.

Less crews BNSF has to use to return empty coal trains, they have been doing this for a while now.

They sit by valmont because it’s one of the few places it fits without blocking crossings. The next place it fits is at berthod. So they wait till they have a warrant that far.
