CP Military Invades the US
Author: funnelfan

CP 7021 was leading the QSKPC (Spokane to Pocatello) this morning out of the East Spokane Yard. I actually missed getting a photo of the train on my way to Spokane. But the train was held at Scribner Jct for three hours for a ballast train out of Wells to pass it (bet the BNSF dispatcher loved that!!!). That allowed me to catch the train on the way home and follow it a ways.

I see CP has discovered something many in the military already know.
Desert Sand paint really shows oil and fuel stains and is really hard to keep clean!

You're right and it's a real shame . . should have painted the undercarraige a dark brown  . . CP is the worst for keeping their power clean  .  you'd think they would make the extra effort with these special units.

I wonder why they didn't stuff the train into nearby Overlook Siding. Would get it out of the way of BNSF traffic.

Now it's in Spokane right now. Leading an eastbound manifest.
