Low Light on the high plains
Author: santafe199

Here’s an image just for Don, my esteemed Low Light co-conspirator out there on that left coast. It’s a still-pure SP paint scheme climbing the dizzying heights of the western Kansas plains with a coal empty. There are no rude mountains getting in the way of this sunset scene. And there are no confusing cell-phone towers growing out here on these wind-swept, bread-basket plains…

1. “UP 177”, still in pure SP paint passing the station signboard at Ogallah, KS on February 5, 2013.

Thanks for looking!

By the time the light gets that low around here, the tree shadows have overrun the track.

Waaaah, it’s not fair!
