Western Railroad Discussion > UP train identificationDate: 06/15/20 03:09 UP train identification Author: 55002 On April 18th, 2018, I was on a railfan trip and came across the wreck at Monahans, TX. I have since found the DOT report on line, and gives the train symbol as ILXD. I can't relate to those symbols - any help please. Chris uk

The cause of crash is given code M404 - which means nothing to me. However, I was led to believe the stack train hit some derailed cars of the west bound manifest. Report gives stack train as 5540 tons, at 65mph. chris uk
