They do get around, don't they
Author: bmarti7

On Monday, June 15 I caught the BNSF 3825 & 3827, back-to-back tier 4 GEVO's, on the KO Sub with a westbound grain shuttle (G) train.

Today, I spotted the same two locos at the Mandan Terminal, this time as DPU's of a G train. If my logic is correct, these units made it from North Dakota to a West Coast port, probably Longview or Kelso, unloaded, returned to the Midwest, reloaded, and now headed westward to a port again. The time period between spottings would be a few hours shy of 11 days. Note the scalded paint on the 3827 - at least it's not worse. Thanks for looking.

1. Westbound BNSF 3825 & 3827 leading at Clifton on the KO Sub on June 15
2. Westbound 3827 & 3825 as DPU's at the BNSF Mandan terminal on June 25

Appears that even the new generation of Tier 4 GE still retains their toaster trademark.

Again why is GE #1 in sales? If i pay 2+million dollars for something it better last more then a month.

Nice number catches.  Those units do look good when new--shame they get paint scorch marks so soon.
