It had to happen sooner or later. I’ve seen countless people, railfans & non-railfans alike pose for pictures in front of Abilene & Smoky Valley’s 3415. Friday morning it was just more of the same. Or was it?? I saw the young father with 2 kids either side in that classic pose, but saw no photographer. And when I didn’t see a tripod I knew the new-fangled modern age was right in front of me. The fact that I really had to look close to see the drone against Eisenhower Presidential Library’s limestone wall was even more astonishing. It was without doubt a very amusing moment.
