Noted Pacific Northwest author and photographer Warren W. Wing will be our featured presenter at the next Tacoma Division meeting. Warrens slide show will cover Northern Pacific steam excursions, and a side trip over the Pacific Coast (a one-time Great Northern subsidiary and link in the Milwaukee Roads entrance into the Emerald City). The meeting is Friday, May 25, at the White River Valley Museum and Auburn Senior Center, from about 6:30 to 9:30 P.M. There will be a reception at WRVM from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, followed by the presentation from 7:30 to 9:30 at the Senior Center. Admission prices are $4 for children and seniors and $5 for 13-63. The presentation is free to all WRVM members. Semaphore enthusiasts: you may want to stop by WRVMs Auburn in the 1920s exhibit and see if veteran Dave Sprau has completed his renovation of WRVMs new Northern Pacific semaphore! WRVM is located at 918 H Street Southeast, in Auburn. To get to the Senior Center from Interstate 5 or State Route 167 take State Route 18 East. Take the Auburn-Enumclaw Exit. At the light take a left onto Auburn Way South. Go past the Dairy Queen restaurant (on the left). Turn left onto F Street. Take a quick right onto Ninth Street. Ample parking is available at the Senior Center, located on the right at the end of the street.
