CN power in Okieland today.
Author: MP4093

So I got wind of a grain train coming out of Kansas City on BNSF with an unusual locomotive consist. BNSF train GSIOEAP had CN 2101 an ex CNW Dash 8 leading CN 2434 a C40-8M Draper Taper cowl and BCOL 4654 a Dash 9-44CWL, not the usual orange toasters. Info I got had it through here in the middle of the night and I forgot about it until I got home and saw it had not passed here yet having spent most of the day in Ft Scott, KS waiting on a crew. As the light got lower I headed East hoping to catch it before darkness did. Finally success in Sequoyah, OK at last light of day 1941hrs on the BNSF Cherokee Sub just East of Claremore, OK.

You hit the jackpot on that cowl.  That series is mostly parked now.

Glad you could get out and find it, I was down in the Lawton area on vacation but enjoy seeing the photos of it in the area. Congratulations on IOTD!
