BNSF Drano Lake bridge changeout

BNSF's big bridge job at Drano Lake in Washington is set for this Sunday, September 13.  The window starts at 0300 on the 13th and goes for 36 hours.

If anyone in contemplating spending the weekend in the gorge and needs a hotel room, reserve it sooner than later — accommodations are filling up quickly with Oregon fire evacuees.

Dang!  I'll have to miss this one.

As much as I'd love to go, much of my route is through heavy wildfire smoke and thousands upon thousands of folks evacuating.
I'll choose to stay home and out of everyone's way, and breathe some filtered air.
