Here are a couple of views of the train pulling out of the industrial park spur and then shoving back toward Pomona into a setting sun greatly dimmed by smoke from two wildfires burning in the mountains 30+ miles away.

However you gave it the wrong title. The sky as pictured is a natural condition, nothing's artificial about it. This is one of the phenomena that can naturally occur when beasts of a lower order of life encounters those of a higher order of life. Not to worry though, if evolution continues, the lower form will vanish before any "permanent" harm is done!

Low Light, something Don & I know a thing er 2 about, can come in artificial ways as well as more conventional ways. BTW: The composition in image #1 is spot-on!

As far as it looking like Mars is concerned, here's a natural color photo of a Martian sunset.
