BNSF is schedule to begin construction on the Alliance to Rio Vista double track project here in Cleburne sometime in early 2021.

The link isn't very helpful.  Tried navigating around the page, without success.  I thought the double track project was going north from Cleburne, not south.

Try this, nope they are building the double track from Alliance all the way to Rio Vista (10 miles south of Cleburne).

Are there any bridge, crossing, or switch installation projects in connection with this that might require the Amtrak Texas Eagle to detour over the former MKT from Ft. Worth to Temple?  BSB

I am not sure about any Amtrak reroute, but they may reroute some or limit BNSF traffic. Yes it looks like switch installation and crossing projects are going to happen.

Another question about double track on the Galveston Sub:  BNSF was planning to double track between the siding at Landes and Somerville, TX.  Did that ever get done?

I think the siding at Somerville got extended some few years back.
