.   .   .   after sleeping in, had a leasurly drive from Shreveport to Brookhaven, MS, to rondezvous with daughter, son, ex, and grand girls for a birthday dinner later tonight.
top: after meeting an eastbound Z train, a rather lengthy local was pulling out of the siding at Sibley, LA, in the morning gloom.
middle: after around fifty miles, the sun broke through and caught up to the Z train at Mound, LA.
bottom: there must have been a slow order ahead as caught up to another eastbound Z or I train ahead, with UP power at Waverly, LA.
The "Meridian Speedway" lived up to it's name today as in addition to the westbound local, the two eastbound intermodals also met another westbound between Tallulah and Monroe.

Nice series. UP 8816 was on the ZLCAI-14 (LA to Atlanta) to Shreveport, then to KCS
