BNSF Heritage unit No. 6017 leads a coal load southbound through Colorado Springs, CO, past the old Rio Grande depot that was used as a restaurant but is now empty, on September 13, 2020. === === = === JLH

Nice shot Jim! And I really miss the restaurant in the depot. On road trips I  really enjoyed eating there....

Nicely executed shot there!  Couldn't have asked for better lighting.  I'm not familiar with the former restuarant's menu, but they sure made hash of the track side of the depot...

St. Mary's Cathedral tops it off. Excellent!

The depot is no longer empty. There are now three separate restaurants inside that will be opening soon. You can see the entrances for them on the east side of the building.

That's a great shot and even includes the local with the most advanced crossing protection in the industry.

That is a fantastic shot. Since COVID, how many trains are running daily through Colorado Springs?

Thanks, Steve
