Trying to figure out how many each way.  I think the CC Sub is less busy, mainly locals ?.

The Laredo Sub has seen most of its traffic return now that the automotive industry is picking back up.  The line averages 12-15 trains a day.  The following are the scheduled trains.

ILDYC Port Laredo, TX - Yard Center IM, IL daily
IMNMX Marion, AR - Laredo, TX (KCSM) daily
ISALD San Antonio SAIT, TX - Port Laredo, TX daily
IYCMX Yard Center IM, IL - Laredo, TX (KCSM) daily
MASMX East St. Louis, IL (ALS) - Laredo, TX (KCSM) daily
MEWMX Englewood, TX - Laredo, TX (KCSM) daily
MLDAS Port Laredo, TX - East St. Louis, IL (ALS) daily
MLDEW Port Laredo, TX - Englewood, TX daily
MLDLI Port Laredo, TX - Livonia, LA daily
MLDMN Port Laredo, TX - Marion, AR Tu-Su
MLDNL Port Laredo, TX - North Little Rock, AR Mo
MLDPP Port Laredo, TX - Prime Point Hutchins, TX daily
MSAMX South San Antonio, TX - Laredo, TX (KCSM) daily

There are also an average 1-3 extras a day.  This includes empty autorack repos, second sections of scheduled trains, rock, grain, and ethanol.

The Corpus Christi Sub (San Antonio - Odem segment) is a sleepy line.  The only scheduled trains are locals.  Through traffic is in the form of unit trains.  Some days you’ll see none and the others 1 or 2.

LHD66 Corpus Christi, TX - Three Rivers, TX Su, Tu, Th
LHD67 Three Rivers, TX - Corpus Christi, TX Mo, We, Fr
LSAGTT South San Antonio, TX - Pleasanton, TX turn Mo

The line sees several unit rock and grain trains a week.

The Odem - Corpus Christi segment is a bit busier.  It includes a pair of UP road freights plus BNSF trackage rights trains.  Including the LHD66 / LHD67 locals and occasional unit grain trains, this segments also sees:

MEWCC Englewood, TX - Corpus Christi, TX daily
MCCHO Corpus Christi, TX - Houston Settegast, TX daily

Plus the following BNSF trains:

BNSF H CPSSVL1 Corpus Christi, TX - Somerville, TX  Tu, Sa
BNSF H SVLCPS1 Somerville, TX - Corpus Christi, TX Mo, Fr

BNSF also sees 1-2 grain trains a day.

Doesn't KCS have trackage rights from Odem into Corpus as well?  Thought I had seen that somewhere, to help with fluidity in/out of their yard in Corpus.

Andrew, do you have any info on the former Missouri Pacific line from Sinton, Texas  going south through Kingsville to Brownsville/Mc Allen, TX?  How many trains daily?  BNSF/UP. Is Kingsville still a crew change location? In the 1960's and 1970's, Kingsville to Mc Allen was the territory my Uncle Walter was the rear end brakeman. He would take my brother and myself into the caboose from the north end of the yard in Kingsville, high ball the head end, we would ride to the south end of the yard, approximately 2 miles. Then my Aunt would scoop us up. So much fun. The trains back then were always 100 plus cars. Maybe 4-6 trains a day then.
