Low Light, history at night
Author: santafe199

This sure isn’t any Red & Silver Warbonnet! And it isn’t exactly an F-unit profile, either. But it IS a passenger train in Topeka. Sometimes you have to look a bit deeper to find the history…

1. AMTK 198 cab in profile during train #3’s station stop in Topeka, KS. This Amtrak’s westbound “Southwest Chief” @ 1:55 AM on December 5, 2014.

Thinking about the history in this town!

Hiawatha emblem was added in September 2008 for this trip:

It didn't last nearly as long as the Hiawatha emblem on the front of Amtrak 2.
