Western Railroad Discussion > Air quality 02 in Dunsmuir this afternoonDate: 10/14/20 14:21 Air quality 02 in Dunsmuir this afternoon Author: photobob Finally we are able to breath that good old mountain air here in Dunsmuir. This was my first venturing out to take train photos since the wildfires have darkened our skies. I was able to get UP6691 south leaving town with our landmark mountain and blue sky's a few minutes ago.

And it's wonderful that the smoke is gone, it hit most everywhere. Out Date: 10/14/20 15:20 Re: Air quality 02 in Dunsmuir this afternoon Author: Ritzville Excellent shot! Mt Shasta is sure bare of snow.

I don't recall seeing such little snow on the mountain. For those of you who have spent more time than I have there late in the warm season, is that unusually bare? Note that this is the south side, the remaining glaciers are on the north and north-east side with more shadow.
