Another classic rr backdrop falls!
Author: slacks

The old Oscar Meyer plant in Davenport IA was a backdrop for Milw SOO and CP trains for yrs. The top shot is from just last yr of CP #475 heading north by the plant. The next 2 shots are from a couple wks ago as it is being razed. Don,t know what happened but take nothing for granted even if these days of GEVO,s seem boring, in time it will change!

Thanks for capturing the old Oscar Meyer plant demolition at Davenport, Iowa.  Guess we're all becoming vegetarians.

Regarding contrails: During certain conditions, you can see contrails from airliners and aircraft
from Edwards AFB in the cerulean blue skies of our area...
On really windy days we see "lennies" - lenticular-shaped clouds that are great for soaring.
They often look like flying saucers.
