Guy on the tracks, Flagstaff AZ, Sunday night
Author: Lackawanna484

Did anybody else see the guy standing between the tracks at Flagstaff station on Sunday night?  Around 7-7.15 Pacific time.  I saw it on the Virtual Camera feed to YouTube, via Comcast, so the chat wasn't available.

It looked like a guy was standing between the sets of tracks at the east end of the station. No more than 3 feet from the tracks.   A westbound  leaned on the horn, guy didn't move.  I expecte to hear braking, but the train rolled through and the guy was still upright, standing there.  A few minutes later an eastbound came down the hill, leaned on the horn, this time I could see him.  Looks like he moved back a little. Hard to tell in the dark.

Looked like a guy, I'm sure the crews were very concerned. I moved on t something else

He's been on camera before I believe doing the same thing. Someone called the cops on him before.
Probably just likes trains.

There have been 2 ped-train fatalities in Flag in recent months, each case the individual seemed to be playing chicken with
the train. Both the BNSF POs and the Flag police have received calls about this behavior.

Like trains and be that stupid? I doubt that since I learned over the years how to be safe and watch trains without doing anything stupid like that and I heard on the scanner here in Flagstaff people near the tracks a few times, sad when you hear one calll Emergency Emergency when they hit or barely miss an idiot!

The same (?) guy was out on the tracks Wednesday night.  Saw him around 8.30 local time, then again maybe 10 pm as I flipped around.

By now, the crews must be expecting him. But it still has to be a scare when this guy pops into view, so near the tracks.

The guy is still standing out between the tracks at Flagstaff.  Saw him again last night.

Trains don't blow their horns at him any more.

Maybe he's the "Phantom Brakeman" (if you are old enough to remember that story).
