UP & KCS for the Day . . .

From a trip yesterday Nov 9. Theintent was to get some Belles and foliage on Rich Mtn AR but neither trains nor sun cooperated.

1. UP 7184-1174 local in the siding for a meet at Braggs OK

2. Plenty of power--KCS 5019-5007-EMDX 7212-KCS 5015-2851-2027 SHKC departing Heavener OK

3. The yellow EMDXs are still fairly new but have lost their new paint shine--still pretty neat to see the unusual road colors

4. Even on the KCS one can get the obligatory coal move, this being the second Texas Utilities train of the afternoon with BNSF 9327-9228 near Poteau OK

Like the UP catch. Yes, KCS can really be hit and miss. A tough road to photograph.

Nice series Brian! Like the KCS and yellow progress Rail units and topping it off with a coal train with EMD on the point. We had snow in the backyard this morning.
