BNSF 296, SD75M on Colorado Joint Line 15 Nov
Author: cozephyr

BNSF 296, SD75M, led the Irondale (Commerce City), CO, to Minnequa 100-empties cement car train.  SD75M units are rare on the Joint Line amongst all the General Electric/Wabtec locomotives.  North of Palmer Lake, CO, November 15, 2020.  New BNSF paint scheme has been applied to the once red and silver paint scheme this unit wore when delivered as BNSF 8296.

Looks good, but why did they have to cover up the red and silver?

So, unit must have had some serious work in addition to the PTC install, was surprised to see
the SD75s get reactivated.

Nice shot/video of one of my favourite units... actually an SD75I (note the 'seam' near the front of the nose which makes the cab isolated).
