Is  the 3001 a true SD 45 or a neutered SD 40-2M?

Thanks in advance!

SD40-2 mechanically with a 16-645 prime mover. This is the former CNW #6564, the lone SD45 rebuilt to SD40-2 specs in the mid to late 1980’s by the railroad.

Looks like the SD40 lost the traditional two lift/pull lugs. The front one where the F stencil is has been removed.

Never had the extra jacking pads.  TMBL 3000 was built as UP 3065.

The normal one at the bolster, under the cab, is there. The one's out by the step wells were extra cost options that weren't that common.
