Denver CP heritage heads up
Author: SD45X

CP8114-7014 (maroon/grey) at Sterling(0500) headed to Denver this morning.

Departed Barr 0940. Get run around by LAUDEN at Irondale then it will go to Lodo

Maybe 1500 call and added a DP engine I think. Unless they had to add it to the front. No visual confirmation.

Sure is a long round about way to run a train to Fresno. Why not via Casper?

Fewer grades for a heavy grainer compared to all other options with the possible exception of Hi-Line to Inside Gateway. But there you may have capacity issues up to Wishram and trackage rights fees from Keddie to Stockton.

Plenty of capacity via Sheridan and Bill and the Brush sub too with coal down.
