BNSF sand train at Tunnel, CO
Author: SP8595

After a dry spell of many months, BNSF ran a loaded frac sand train out of Denver to Wash, UT across the old Rio Grande mainline back on January 2nd.

Seen here at Tunnel siding in De Beque Canyon, the BNSF 6021 heads Westbound and follows alongside a frozen Colorado River as it approaches Grand Jct.

One of the rear DP's was a bit toasty!

Got to love the "Toaster" 5699 on the rear end.
