Yesterday the UP ILTLT train going from Oakland to Lathrop CA went over Altamont Pass at about 12:40 pm, led by CSX 5381 as the sole unit. In the third photo, the train is negotiating the shoofly west of Altamont (summit) siding, that was created to go around a landslide years ago, but never straightened out (probably not worth it, considering how few freight trains go over Altamont Pass) - Eric Blasko

comes South for the better weather. The amount of CN and CP units on BNSF has become increasingly common, and on the point. The Memphis/ North Baltimore connections have yielded much NS and some CSX. Those are autoracks full of Tesla's that will move south on the ILTLB and then east on other trains.
