Yesterday someone posted that it might be train 865 SEA-LOs Angeles departing today.

Train 865 shows special departing SEA at 0945 today.

This sounds like a freight train. Is it still an Amtrak train ?

I can't get Amtrak's site to say train exists.  Did you mean its scheduled to depart, or has departed????

A colleague just posted a pic on FB, leaving town. AMTK 129 on the point, looks like 172, back to back and two Talgo sets.

Yes, IO group HeadsupCoastFans reports it leaving Seattle with screenshots of it on the Virtual Cam at Chehalis passing at 11:16am.

Vic  Amtrak Talgo sets went south thru Tacoma wa. at 10:22 am. today.   #  129 0n point and 172 trailing with train. Chris

At 1400 hours, still not out of Portland depot. They may be holding to scheduled 1420 departure.

Steam power was not available for this move, had to use the 42's.
