Western Railroad Discussion > CP Ballast Train in Glenview, ILDate: 04/21/21 21:50 CP Ballast Train in Glenview, IL Author: sethamtrak I was a pretty surprised when someone spotted a loaded ballast train heading east with a solo LHF SD60. I decided I had to go shoot it. I got it once at Techny Rd in Northbrook, then beat him to West Lake Ave in Glenview. This train took the cake for CP heritage with the elderly hopper cars. There were two tank cars, a GREX conveyor belt set, then company ballast cars to finish the 2,000 foot train. I believe it's safe to assume this train came out of the Waterloo pit then to Portage, ran around the train, then east, hence the LHF leader. Unsure of what the plans are for this train after it's arrival in Bensenville this evening.
