I've seem a few pictures with the emblem positioned the same way on the ends of depots. MILW (co-owner of the Des Moines Union Rwy along with WAB). I'm not sure about this depot specifically, but some of the other railroads that served Des Moines were: -CB&Q -M&StL -CGW -FDDM&S -DM&CI I'm guessing the "16 railroads" includes predecessor and successor lines.
