Beautiful station restoration, but should the Des Moines folks are reading this, the Milwaukee logo on the wall is positioned incorrectly, it should be "tilted" so the lettering is horizontal.

I've seem a few pictures with the emblem positioned the same way on the ends of depots.

The article says 16 railroads once served this. What were they? RI obviously, the CNW north-south line, a Webash branch... What else?

MILW (co-owner of the Des Moines Union Rwy along with WAB).

I'm not sure about this depot specifically, but some of the other railroads that served Des Moines were:
-CB&Q
-M&StL
-CGW
-FDDM&S
-DM&CI

I'm guessing the "16 railroads" includes predecessor and successor lines.

Unfortunately true. And unfortunately they are all incorrect per Milwaukee standards.
