No stockholders was hurt posting this thread.
Author: Badorder

Even with their class 1 track, don't it seems like the shorelines have way less derailments then the big 7. OMG, NS had three last week alone. Union Pacific and CSX any far behind in the pile up dept. What spread sheet showed that laying off half the mechanical dept. And then running 15,000ft. Land bridges with loads and empties mixed together was a great idea. I hate government over reach but somebody got to step in before a train of really nasty s@#t derail in the middle of a populated area. It will happen, just when. Wall st. Shouldn't run trains. My rant for the day.

The Mutual Funds, Retirement Funds and others who own RR stock have no skin in the game. The collapse of the RR's will remind all of Afghanistan collapsing to the Taliban. Not enough people want to stand and fight. Those who can't manage those who can.

No stockholders may have been hurt but any English language students will either be mortified or possibly wetting themselves trying to read this cliched and weary thread.

I agree, the first mortal victim appears to be the butchered up spelling and language mauling.

So the railroads are going to change their minds about PSR, PTC, dining car menus, hubcap spinners on the 4014, or whatever the foamer crisis du jour is because of what they read on an internet forum?

Are some TO’ers honestly that delusional?

Shortlines have derailments all the time they just aren't as spectacular as a dozen car or more pile up of a fast moving train.

If you participate in a retirement plan, you could request your plan administrator vote their shares in a particular way.

"Wall Street" is really a bunch of folks, often well paid folks, who manage money for pension plans, fund companies, etc and take a fee for their efforts.

I think a lot of the times, the problem is people use dictation on their phone and don’t look at it before they hit send.

I’ve done that myself more than once, and boy, have I posted some weird stuff.

Not going to comment on the errors as I've done more than enogh of those myself.  As for the number of derailents; yes, shortline have them and they are not as "spectacular" as the big boys.  And the big boys have a whole lot more trackage than the shortline guys, did anyone think about that.  I guess not.

And are shortlines/regionals also moving 12,000ft. 27,000ton DOUBLE loaded ethanol trains across the Pa mountains..??!! Those of us who know this territory know what I'm referring to....

Or UP moving 30,000ton plus coal trains..??!!

Wait....you can defy the Laws of Physics in the name of $$$$$$...(eyeroll).

Once again the autism kicks in and people start attacking instead of sticking to the topic. Good thing I'm at the age where cowards hiding behind a keyboard only puts a smile on my face. I'm  picturing them over weight, single and living in a basement somewhere wishing they could get some throttle time behind  a big GE or EMD pulling a 12,000ft. Doublestack around horseshoe curve. So keep the zingers coming because in this crazy world I need a laugh of the day.

Wow...

1. I seem to recall a rule on Trainorders about name calling, personal attacks, etc. JUST SAYING....

2. I was NOT talking about stack trains or JUST Horseshoe Curve. I was trying to make a point about double ethanol trains. If you think running double ethanol trains over the Pa "hill" or the Middle Division (which btw is not straight) is a good idea, than that tells me something about you...??!!

3. I don't "dream about locos" as you put it. I do it.

I would say more, but I'm not...
